A gang is a group of people which share an identity and a common purpose. The term has come to be associated specifically with street gangs, which organize for the purpose of carrying out illegal activity which may vary from inciting conflict with other gangs to dealing drugs. Because of this, people tend to be careful about how they use the word “gang,” to ensure that people know what sort of group is under discussion. For example, historically groups of people who worked together in construction were known as “gangs,” and this usage has become less common to avoid confusion.

Death and jail in gangs you basically need to plan your own funeral in advance.
7.Will gangs disappear one day? Yes or No. Explain why or how.
I say yes and no, yes because it will get old and boring and people will realize that its nonsense and not worth risking your life over a color. I also say no because people don't have a mind of there own they want to keep on with fighting over colors and killing each other.
8.What other “outlets” might someone try to utilize before joining a gang?
9.If you knew someone who was going to join a gang, what would you tell them in light of the research that you have conducted? Explain.
Well I can relate to this question I was going to join a gang but then I always had second thought because everybody told me if thats what i really wanted. For example my brother had gave me a talk about it and it made a lot of sense your basically working and doing someone else's dirty work. Your risking your life over someone you probably know so little about and they don't care about you they might say they have your back but if that was really the case they wouldn't be putting you out there on the streets killing over a color so after I really put the thought into it, it changed me and I talk to others about it.
10.What is one other topic of interest to you related to gangs and violence? Explain.
Another topic of interest related to gangs and violence is "How do you get into the gang and how do you get out?". From what I know you have to fight or kill to get in and kill to get out in gang terms its called " Blood in and Blood out ".
